Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has unfurled a spectacular offering that will serve as PlayStation exclusive title. The gaming giant has released a sensational trailer of Returnal, a game that will be a blend of horror and action genre. The premise of the video game is a shape-shifting desolate planet, where the protagonist, Selena, has crash-landed. The game will offer substantial re-playability, as each death will bring a sea of changes to the planet.

The planet is decaying with each life cycle that will bring forth new kinds of challenges. Selena needs to find answers for her lost memories as she journey’s through the planet. Each mystery that she uncovers will further aid her to forge a strong connection with the desolate planet. This will in turn help her on the journey through the archaic place that is now home to horrifying creatures.

Sony postponed its release to a new date, as the studio needed more time to bring the title up to the desired quality. Resogun and Housemarque are the studios that are developing this exclusive title. Due to production-related snags, the title will now see a new release date: April 30th, 2021.
Returnal is ‘designed for extreme re-playability’
