WATCH: How to Equip a Detector and Disable the Alien Billboard for Fortnite Week 9 Legendary Quest

The entire Season 7 of Fortnite has been strange from the get-go with the arrival of aliens. Epic Games focused on this futuristic concept of the patch and added relevant content to the game. From the impressive skin bundles of Loki, Rick from Rick and Morty, Thanos, and many more. Moreover, the studio also added similar gameplay content in UFOs, parasites, and other extraterrestrial things to the game.

Now, week 9’s legendary quest has brought forward a strange mission that isn’t easy to do. It demands you to locate a particular device which then needs to be used to destroy Alien billboards.

Guide to locate alien detector in week 9 of Fortnite

This quest might seem too daunting at first, but it is actually easy to solve. The alien detector is a device that can be found by opening a special black chest on the Battle Royale island. This chest only spawns in a few areas and it cannot be located if you don’t know where to look. First up, jump out of the bus and head towards the Misty Meadow section.

This area contains both the device and the billboard that you need to disable to complete the quest. Head to the town, and find the massive fountain in the center most section of the area. You can easily find the alien device in the black box, situated right in front of the fountain.

Now, with the device acquired, head north towards the mountain. Here you will find a lonesome alien billboard that you can easily disable to complete the quest. Refer to the video below if you are still having trouble locating both items in Misty Meadow.
