There are always some individuals who find a way to achieve something even when it’s out of their league. Recently, a video surfaced online showcasing a gaming lover enjoying some of the iconic titles on a barcode scanner. Yes, that’s true and the games running on this customized console also include the beloved God of War.

It will sound bizarre and unbelievable to many but there exists such a device. Not officially, though, but it’s custom-made by a die-hard, passionate gamer. Apparently, they managed to convert an Android barcode scanner into an astonishing console, to play games such as God of War and even Midnight Club 3.

Forget PlayStation and Xbox, here comes the Barcode Scanner Console running God of War!

As reported by Tecnoblog, a creative enthusiast, somehow, managed to transform a barcode scanner into a gaming machine. It consists of the Android operating system inside while being powered by a Snapdragon chip.

Granted there are many ways to play games, but this is just another level of customization. Especially considering the fact this equipment can hardly become someone’s choice to turn it into a console. But thanks to the mind of its inventor, the device is now providing them the leisure of hit titles like God of War, Midnight Club 3, and Resident Evil.

Initially, this demonstration clip appeared in a Facebook group called “Group for poor people with bad computers 5.0”. In the group, the creator mentioned that the entire customization was done on a Honeywell CK65. The latter is a barcode reader, featuring a Snapdragon chip inside. Additionally, it also boasts of 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of space.

As the video shows, the barcode scanner console is having a PlayStation emulator in which God of War is running. In other clips, when there is Resident Evil 4 playing, the controls can be seen floating over the main gameplay.
