During a recent episode of the popular YouTube gaming podcast, Digital Foundry, gaming experts delved into an in-depth analysis of the recently unveiled game footage for Starfield. closely analyzing the recently revealed game footage at Starfield Direct, they raised a concerning issue: the game’s frame rate took a significant hit during combat. Despite struggling to reach the coveted 60 frames per second (FPS), the frame rate plummeted as low as 19-20 FPS during intense action sequences.

The hosts of Digital Foundry voiced their observations, expressing their disappointment with the less-than-smooth performance of the Starfield footage. One of the hosts posed a crucial question, saying, “The Starfield direct footage was not smooth at all… the concern is now can they even give a stable 30?” However, the hosts also acknowledged that the subpar performance showcased in the gameplay reveal might be attributed to suboptimal footage-capturing technology or production errors. At this point, it is difficult to draw definitive conclusions.
