Call of Duty’s flagship title Warzone took the gaming community by storm upon its release. The battle royale game mode got a lot of people stuck in their homes due to the pandemic to hop into the game with their squad and have fun. Saying that the game mode was extremely popular upon its release is not too much of a stretch.
However, the condition of Warzone, along with the player base’s sentiments towards it has changed, and it looks like it changed for the worst. It looks like the glaring performance issues have created a huge discord among console users as well. In a new term of events, it looks like Xbox players have received the short end of the stick with another game-breaking bug.

Discord among Xbox and PlayStation players with Warzone bug
A new video was seen wherein an Xbox user’s whole display was completely ruined with a heavy green tinge. The video was shared in a very sarcastic and funny manner, to be honest. The bug was shown as a new ‘game mode’ exclusive to Xbox players.

This was obviously a joke. Considering that this was a bug found only for Xbox. However, as we all know, the gaming community just needs a spark to engage in a full-fledged console war. As one would expect, the same followed here.
My series X couldn’t handle 120hz for warzone. So I just play it on my PS5. Don’t play on playing warzone on my Xbox anytime soon.

All in all, it looks like Warzone on the Xbox is a green and trippy mess. However, it does not look like this issue is exclusive to Xbox and PC players are facing this issue as well. The game mode has been subject to a turbulent life cycle.
It looks like the community has established a love-hate relationship with the Call of Duty franchise. While Warzone is immensely popular amongst streamers, the way casual players feel is contrastingly different. It seems that most of the community has gone from harsh criticism to general indifference as to how the game is going.
While Raven Software patched much-needed bugs, the response was lukewarm as players felt there would be a new wave of bugs incoming. This was sadly correct.
