Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies features various types of deadly creatures. However, when it comes to hard-to-catch zombies, Hellhounds are pretty quick as it’s not always possible to defeat them with normal weapons. Thankfully, now there’s an effective way through which players can slow them down quite easily.

Modern Warfare 3 Zombies has multiple ways of going against zombies. It brings back a lot of elements from Treyarch’s previous Black Ops entries, including iconic monsters. Among them are also Hellhounds. Generally, they are not very lethal in terms of causing damage but players can find it difficult to counter them. With the latest advancements, they will surely conquer this concern.

For the uninitiated, Hellhounds are an extremely aggressive type of zombie. In previous titles like World at War, Black Ops, Black Ops 2, Black Ops 3, Black Ops 4, and Black Ops Cold War, they are encountered in their rounds. In simple words, they are zombie dogs in a mutated form.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, players will face Hellhounds a lot, apart from all kinds of other creatures. They are very quick when it comes to jumping onto the players and causing heavy damage. Fortunately, there happens to be a great option available in the open-world mode that works effectively against Hellhounds. This solution is none other than the Cryo Freeze ammo.

Using the Cryo Freeze ammo mod can eventually enable the players to slow down Hellhounds. However, to accomplish the main objective, players have to first unlock the ammo mod itself. They can either craft the ammo mod using schematics or obtain it as a reward after completing the ‘Take Up Arms’ mission in MWZ’s Act 1.

Once they get the Cryo Freeze mod, they can use the ammo in their weapons to shoot Hellhounds and slow their movement. The ammo mod comes in handy especially when going against large hordes of Hellhounds.

When it comes to other options for tackling zombies, players can also go for the Field Upgrades. Options like Energy Mine are very useful to take down massive hordes of the undead. Then, there are many Perk-a-Colas too, that can make it easier for them to inflict heavier damage on zombies.

For example, the PHD Flopper can enable the players to become immune from heights. In short, they will receive no damage whatsoever upon falling on the ground from a tall building’s rooftop while diving to a prone position. As a result, their fall will cause a massive explosion while killing many zombies.

Similarly, there are other perk-a-colas like Quick Revive and Deadshot Daquiri. The former helps in reducing the health regeneration time by 50 percent while the latter enables one to move aim down sight to critical enemy locations. Hence, the damage done to the opponents will eventually increase.
