Baldur’s Gate 3 is topping the charts a day after its launch. Larian Studios’ latest Dungeons & Dragons-based title doesn’t have a Metascore yet, but that isn’t stopping the game from performing well in the market. This proves how critics don’t always dictate the community reception of a game.
However, despite the game being at the top of the charts on Steam, there is an issue that is causing some annoyance to the players. A bug seems to be preventing in-game saves, which is resulting in a loss of progress for many. Folks at Larian Studios have said that they’re aware of the bug’s problems and may have some insights on how to solve the issue.

Some fans also have their own ideas about why such an issue may recur over and over again. Community members suggest that a cloud sync error can also cause the bug and a loss of progress. There may be three ways to solve such an issue. Firstly, turning off cloud sync for Baldur’s Gate 3 will do the trick. As an alternate option, deleting the “C:\Users\myUser\AppData\Local\Larian Studios\Baldur’s Gate 3″ file can also solve the in-game save problem. One more way to make sure the problem doesn’t persist is by disabling cloud sync when launching the game.
