Sony just launched a new program that has players extremely excited. They recently announced the PS5 Upgrader Program which gives players a chance of claiming free games. While this news might come as a surprise, Sony is set on increasing the number of players gaming on the PlayStation 5.
At the launch of the PS5, many players around the world couldn’t get their hands on the console as there was a shortage of semiconductors in the market. The shortage hindered the production of the PS5 making only a few systems available at a time. This made a lot of gamers shy away from buying the console as they were sold at a high markup price. Soon after, the shortage subsided and production resumed to normal. With the players missing out on the initial hype of the console, Sony’s new plans show their efforts to regain the market.
