The game director Tod Howards has constantly advertised the forthcoming project as a game of the people. Thus, it only makes sense to add some enthusiastic modders from the community itself during its creation. For any modder, a Bethesda project does sound like a dream too good to be true. Although not for one of the modders. 

With a recent viral tweet, a talented modder made an open confession about working with Bethesda for an integral element of the game. And yes, it was a classic ‘Among Us’ moment in reality! The undercover Starfield developer had been faking her reactions to the in-game leaks for a long while. Here’s what the creator had to say as she unmasked herself among the fans.

There’s a popular belief in the gaming community that no genius creation can exist without a team of hardworking developers. Well, for games as the scale of Starfield, the importance of a smart functioning team becomes a foundational necessity. Thus, there’s a significant emphasis by the developers on the division of specifications during the development phase. 

Even with the 45-minute-long Starfield trailer, fans were subjected to a glimpse of the enormous size of not just the game but the team behind it. A lot of divisions that had never been heard of were made into the organization for a smoother developing experience. And with whatever has been unveiled with the early access, the developing team does deserve some appreciation.

In a similar episode, a modder revealed her secret involvement in the development process. According to her latest online confession, she was hired by Bethesda as an additional lighting artist in the game. She took to X and wrote, “I can now concede to the community that I’m a Starfield developer. Bethesda hired me as a lightning and clutter artist to work on Starfield. Enjoy “our” game. Now let’s go out there and explore.”

She also expressed how difficult it had been for her to keep this mission development of open-world RPG a top secret. Moreover, with the constant speculations running around the internet, we can only imagine the level of the challenge. 

Elianora is well known for customizing player homes and clothing in Bethesda games. Her Breezehome replacement for Skyrim Special Edition has received 1.5 million downloads, and Eli’s Armor Compendium for Fallout 4 has received three million downloads on Nexus Mods. Similarly, Ryan Johnson, a member of the Fallout: London mod team, was employed as a level designer for Fallout 76 a few years ago.
