Animal Crossing: New Horizons is getting a ton of new content this November; including the game’s very first paid DLC coming with the Switch Online + Expansion pack. The $79.99 (annual) subscription offers New Horizons fans a thrilling new feature, the Happy Home Paradise.

Before the all-new villagers head to the New Horizons’ island, they’re taking a brief trip to the franchise’s mobile title, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp on the occasion of its fourth anniversary.

Pocket Camp Opens Doors to Animal Crossing: New Horizons Content

As Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp celebrates its four years of launch, the devs are offering players some exclusive content from New Horizons for free. The latest patch, Version 4.4.2, was released earlier today, and the content is already available for players to make the most out of.

While the New Horizons fanbase waits for their biggest ever update, Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 comes out on November 5, Pocket Camp players are in for a sweet surprise. Along with the new additions specific to the title, the game also welcomes “some guest judges” to the Happy Homeroom.

The update for the Switch title arrives in a week. But if players wish to see what the new villagers are like, the devs introduced the eight new characters via their official Twitter account. Additionally, they even revealed each characters’ birthday. So you can have an idea when those birthday surprises for each character will roll in.

Here are eight villagers:

  • Ione – Birthday: 9/11
  • Quinn – Birthday: 1/20
  • Cephalobot – Birthday: 4/1
  • Marlo – Birthday: 6/26
  • Sasha – Birthday: 5/19
  • Shino – Birthday: 10/31
  • Petri – Birthday: 10/23
  • Tiansheng – Birthday: 8/18

Additionally, to commemorate the largest content update for New Horizons, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp players will have the chance to enjoy a “special event”. The already live event started today (October 28, 2021) at 7 AM BST and will go through till 05:59 AM BST on January 11, 2022, as per the official blog. Yes, you read that right. Till January 2022!
