However, Shaq, being a die-hard fan of a different genre, rejected the idea of saying that they could spice things up differently. As a result, he mentioned his favorite video game, Mortal Kombat, giving them an indirect idea to develop the video game.
This gave rise to the 2-D fighting game, Shaq-Fu, which featured Shaq going against animated villains in another dimension. The story starts with Shaquille O’Neal walking “into a dojo” while heading to a charity basketball game in Tokyo, Japan.
He then meets a martial arts teacher, who takes him to another dimension, the Second World. Nintendo has portrayed Shaq as a warrior on a journey to rescue Nezu, a boy stuck in the lands of the evil mummy, Sett Ra.
