According to the latest FPS trends, Valve has started banning all the accounts trying to implement cheating and hacking in the game. But under the same scrutiny, a lot of players who just accessed AMD Driver update 23.10.1 this week have been facing some consistent bans by the corporation. The fact that this update doesn’t promote cheating or hacks and is still under the scanner has left the fans more frustrated.
The feature that’s causing the issue with the servers is the Anti-Lag feature introduced in the 23.10.1 upgrade. Initially, there were speculations and theories about how this might be the root of the VAC bans. However, an official confirmation by CS2 has given a much clearer picture. In their words, the Anti-Lag+ feature has been altering the game’s source code.

What’s the issue with Anti-Lag?
The latest AMD update aims to fix the lagging and crash issues with CS2. To enhance the counter, the system introduced the Anti-Lag+ feature. However, in a matter of hours after the feature’s installment, players addressed the ban issue it caused. Taking the discussions into consideration, Valve issued a statement warning the fans to not use this specific feature in the update.

The only trick to avoid the ban has been mentioned by the developers. “If you are an AMD customer and play CS2, DO NOT ENABLE ANTI-LAG/+; any tampering with CS code will result in a VAC ban,” they write in their address.
The future of the AMD update
Following the official warning, Valve has also ensured that AMD is working on a patch to fix the code alteration issue of the Anti-Lag+ system. Moreover, they also emphasized that the players who have been banned due to the issue would be granted access only after the resolution is introduced by the software. Until there’s a patch, all the gamers are highly advised to disable the feature from their CS2 gameplay.
