Valve to Lay Down the Carpet for an Upcoming Revamped Stream Deck

On February 25, 2022, the industry welcomed a handheld console named Steam Deck. Valve is the company that introduced it to the world. Valve plans for new developments in the future

The booklet next to the heading “The Future: more Steam Decks, more SteamOS” says, “SteamOS will continue to evolve, including new features and improvements to game compatibility through “Proton.”” Furthermore, it said, “Valve will support Steam Deck and SteamOS well into the foreseeable future.”

The “multi-generational product line” aims at learning the potential developments from the Steam community. Above all, it wants to make the forthcoming projects even more “open and capable than the first version of Steam Deck”. Evidently, the future might hold major developments for the betterment of the handheld console and the community as well.

In addition, GamesRadar collected information from their colleagues at the PC Game that would be the icing on the cake. Explicitly, they confirmed from Valve that there is a possibility of “a Deck 2, or Deck Pro, or Deck Ultra, or whatever, just a few months after the handheld’s initial launch.”

What more can be learned from the booklet?

Chiefly, the booklet gives an introduction to the handheld console model. It reflects on its features of a controller-friendly interface and the fact that it can also make games. Explicitly, it describes the Steam Cloud saves that allows “you to start a gaming session on your PC, and move to your Steam Deck to finish it on the couch.”

Most importantly, it informs that Valve will be collaborating with Komodo. The aim of the collaboration would be to bring Steam Deck to many parts of Asia. Moreover, Valve has developed games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO), Team Fortress, and Dota.
