But, it is definitely a promising hand-held device offering fans their favorite games available on Steam. With that being said, Valve was struggling to ship ordered units due to supply issues. In fact, many fans feared the possibility of their orders being delayed to 2023. But, according to a report from Valve, any orders placed before July 29 will be shipped by Q4 2022 latest.

Valve resolves supply constraints affecting Steam Deck shipping

As Valve mentioned in its news post, the company will now be able to fulfill orders much sooner than what was expected. As it happens, Valve was able to resolve many of the supply chain issues. The reported supply chain issues had forced the company to announce delayed shipping windows for those who had reserved their units.

Now, Valve has been able to increase their production for Steam Decks, thus, resolving the delay in shipping. “As of today we’ve updated the reservation windows, and everyone who’s currently in the reservation queue will get their Steam Deck email this year,” the news post read.

In fact, many orders, with a shipping window of Q4 and beyond, have received a revised window of Q3. This is, indeed, a great update for fans, who have been waiting for their Steam Deck for a long time.

“We’re happy we’ll be able to get Steam Decks into your hands faster than we had estimated. It has been great to see all the positive feedback, impressions, and amazing things you all have already been doing with your Steam Decks,” Valve mentioned, in the news post.
