The Steam Deck gaming PC is now out now, and it’s been just a few days since its launch. However, it seems like Valve’s team doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned when it comes to making the device popular among users. Several fans recently reported receiving the newly released PC by none other than Valve CEO Gabe Newell himself.

As reported by VGC, a Reddit user named ‘bitfiddler0’ claimed they had received a spam-type email in their inbox last week. It was a notification about their Steam Deck order that had arrived early. It mentioned further that it would be sent to them by Saturday.
The individual say that they were “skeptical and didn’t want to get my hopes up too much.
“Fast forward to today… I told my wife to watch for deliveries while I went on a full day ski trip with friends.”
According to this user, when the delivery guy came to hand over the Steam Deck, it was none other than Valve CEO Gabe Newell. Also, Newell used a fake name (quite obviously) while making the delivery. He had a camera crew accompanying him.
Moreover, the user revealed that their door cam had also captured the image of Mr. Newell. Which was proof that it was the Valve co-founder himself.
There was another Reddit user, ‘SeattleRainPidgeons’, who reported a similar incident. But in their case, they didn’t even order a Steam Deck. But Gabe Newell, to their surprise, handed them one by personally going to their house.

Plus, these ‘in-person’ deliveries of the handheld device are also said to have been signed by Mr. Newell. At least that’s what the users, who received the gaming PC from the Valve CEO, said.
Steam Deck is now available worldwide.
