The second and the last VCT Challengers of the year ended last month with 12 extremely talented teams qualifying for the upcoming Masters. The second Masters of the year is scheduled to be held in Copenhagen this month. For the eligible pro-Valorant teams, Masters Copenhagen is going to be one of the most important gateways on the road to Valorant Champions.

With the slated dates swiftly approaching, Riot Games has announced a schedule for Masters Copenhagen. Riot also announced that Masters Copenhagen will be the first international Masters event to host a live audience. So, fans can also grab tickets to watch their favorite pros working wonders with their main agents, live!
Valorant Champions Tour: Masters Copenhagen Teams
From the beginning of the year, various teams from across the world participated in two Regional Challengers and one Masters.

Following the same, Riot’s ESports team has managed to sniff out the top 12 teams from different regions. These are the teams who will participate in Masters Copenhagen:
- FNATIC (EMEA)
- FunPlus Phoenix (EMEA)
- Guild Esports (EMEA)
- XSET (NA)
- Optic Gaming (NA)
- LOUD (Brazil)
- Leviatán (LATAM)
- KRÜ Esports (LATAM)
- DRX (Korea)
- NORTHEPTION (Japan)
- Paper Rex (APAC)
- XERXIA (APAC)
Going by the format, the team seeded four top-performing teams from the list, who will join the tournament on Day 5. The remaining 8 teams have been arranged into 2 groups, based on their performance in Challenger events and their region’s strength. Here is what the arrangement looks like:
Group A – Optic Gaming, Guild Esports, LOUD, KRÜ Esports
Group B – FunPlus Phoenix, XERXIA, DRX, NORTHEPTION
Masters Copenhagen Format
The event starts on July 10, marking the beginning of the first double-elimination stage between Group A and B. The top four teams from the first double-elimination stage, from July 10-July 13, will face the top-4 seeded teams, namely FNATIC, XSET, PaperRex, and Leviatán, in a double-elimination bracket.

Following the double-elimination bracket, teams will be facing each other for an Upper Bracket Final/Lower Bracket Semi-Final, a Lower Bracket Final, and finally, a Grand Final on July 24.

Note that the double-eliminations will not have a live audience. It will be streamed on Valorant Esports channels available on YouTube and Twitch. The event with live audience will begin on July 22 and will end with the Grand Finals on July 24.

What’s after Masters Copenhagen?
Following the Masters Copenhagen, 10 teams with the highest overall Circuit points will directly qualify for Valorant Champions, the ultimate fight. However, there will still be a last chance for teams who couldn’t qualify.

The Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQ) event in August will give a set of top teams from each region a final chance to grab a ticket to Valorant Champions. Six top teams from the LCQ will get a wildcard to Valorant Champions, making it a total of 16 teams in the final September-slated event.
