Riot Games’ FPS title, Valorant is gearing up to become one of the best releases in the modern era. The studio is trying to offer the best range of content with constant releases and major updates. However, fans are still not satisfied with the rate of content drop, as the lore bugs seem unsatisfied with the rate of content release. The studio has thus far released elaborate trailers, in-game calling cards, voice lines, and more to shed light on the lore.
However, the rate of content releases of the lore has been quite slow, and fans have been clamoring for more. Recently, Riot Games’ executive interacted with a fan and shed light on the production process.

Riot Games’ executive shed light production process of Valorant
Creative Director David Nottingham interacted with a fan who quizzed him about the same. David offered his response and stated that the teams always find themselves in between two major content drops, as the fans are constantly looking more. This hectic schedule puts enormous pressure on the team, which also makes the placing of these drops difficult to schedule.
Yes pacing is something we are aware of too. Often we are putting so much time and energy into landing those big drops (new agents, new maps) and then we barely recover before working on the next one.

He also suggested that the team is looking at coming up with lighter content and not working on anything major. The studio has decided to take a break from the constant grind on August 2. It will allow the teams to take the well-deserved rest, as the studio announced the second annual mid-year break.
Riot’s taking the week of August 2nd off to disconnect and recharge.
Our 2nd annual mid-year break, along with our established end-of-year break, is just one of the ways we’re giving Rioters well-deserved rest. https://t.co/eqtITJZTIt

David also stated that the teams are constantly looking out for ways to make space for minor updates and major drops. The studio needs to take its due time to lay the foundations of the upcoming content, before revealing any information.
We want to build a stronger muscle to be able to put out big content, intermediate & also steady small drops. It takes time because we need to build in sustainable ways.

The lore of Valorant is indeed fascinating, and the world does not know what caused everything to become so convoluted. So far, the community has only managed to pick up hints and draw connections between characters but the major storyline is still blurry at best. Nobody knows what truly transpired and how the dual earth came into being.
