During VCT LOCK//IN earlier, Team Vitality’s player Twisten announced a unique charitable run. This Czech duelist had pledged to donate €25, which is roughly $27, for every Shorty kill at the event. After his untimely death, the community wanted to pay tribute.

VCT commentator RyanCentral suggested the Valorant community should continue Twisten’s Shorty Kill charity in VCT Masters Tokyo. His idea has been widely accepted by fans and pro players alike. Sentinels’ content creator, Tarik, also agreed to participate in this idea along with many Valorant stars.

Shorty, however, is not the preferred choice of gun for many pro players in the VCTs. It is one of the five sidearms available in-game and is the cheapest one to buy. The Shorty is technically a pistol, but it functions more like a shotgun. It can deliver a lot of damage at close range but is weak at long range. Statistically, this gun only accounts for 0.6% of the total kills in high-level Radiant matches.
