The Valorant community received a shocking blow today. Team Vitality revealed through their Twitter handle that their player Karel ‘Twisten’ Asenbrener is no more with us. The French Esports organization announced the news on June 7, 2023. However, Twisten’s exact cause of death is unknown right now.
But the incident has stunned many other professional Valorant players and organizations. Players and fans alike are coming together to mourn the loss of the gem in the FPS world. Through their Twitter handle, Team Vitality has sent out a heartfelt message for the departed pro player.

The French organization tweeted, “We are deeply saddened by this devastating loss, and our first thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends in this difficult time”. They also revealed they have stopped all communications due to the current circumstances. In a subsequent tweet, Team Vitality emphasized the significance of mental health and urged people in need to get help.

This tweet from the French organization has also sparked a debate about the mental health of pro game players. In the past, Twisten had talked with his fans about the VCT LOCK//IN loss his team had in February. He opened up about his struggles with depression and self-harm and revealed that he had been hospitalized for the same.
Twisten was one of the most influential players on the Vitality team. When the going got rough, he showed an exceptional game sense every time and had clutched numerous matches for the French team. He mainly used to play with duelist agents and shined with every one of them.
