Valkyrae in disbelief over Addison’s latest product
The American Social Media personality Addison Rae recently launched a new product as part of her skincare line ‘ITEM Beauty’. A face mist with ‘clinically proven’ skin fatigue-reducing qualities, the product is known as ‘Screen Break’. But if you thought ‘RFLCT’, you’d be forgiven.

For the uninitiated, Valkyrae launched a makeup line back in October 2021 called RFLCT. The main selling point of the lineup was it protected the skin from the effects of blue light. It was quickly thrashed on the internet for making unscientific promises.

Ultimately, the product line was discontinued a mere week post its release, as reported by esports.com, and Valkyrae was relieved of her contract. Ulta Beauty subsequently took all the products off its shelves. In light of this, it makes more sense why Valkyrae would take such a shocking step.

You're trying to tell me Valkyrae's "RFLCT" and Addison Rae's "Screen Break" aren't from the same team?

Taking a page out of RFLCT’s book, netizens believe Screen Break would meet the same fate as its predecessor. The product has met with heavy scrutiny on the internet, with popular streamers like Mizkif letting their disapproval known.

Although, some people wonder why Addison hasn’t received the same backlash that Valkyrae received for her product line. One possible explanation is that nothing about Screen Break has been posted on either Addison or ITEM Beauty’s pages, and that might have contributed to it receiving a more muted response.
