A major and convincing report coming from different sources has revealed that former PS blockbuster Horizon Zero Dawn is going to get a new remake/remaster for the PlayStation 5 console. However, this news has seemingly disappointed a lot of fans as the majority of them do not seem excited at all.
If anyone thought The Last of Us Part 1 was a big reason to divide the community over whether a game should have a remake/remaster or not, they need to prepare themselves once again. It’s because the PS5 remake of 2017’s Zero Dawn has reportedly been leaked and it’s said to be in development already. The first game had witnessed a sequel earlier this year in Forbidden West, coming out for the PlayStation 5.
Horizon Zero Dawn players think the PlayStation 5 remake or remaster won’t make any sense
Reputed insider Tom Henderson recently shared a link to the report that seemingly confirmed the big news. In his tweet, the scooper himself reiterated this leak, while emphasizing the part of it being officially true.
Wasn't expecting to be doing some digging on a Sunday night, but yeah, it seems like the Horizon Zero Dawn remake/remaster rumor is true.

As soon as the leaked information spread across social media, hardcore Horizon Zero Dawn fans wasted no time in sharing their opinions. It seems most of the passionate Horizon lovers are already against the idea of the original getting a remake or remaster. According to them, this doesn’t make any sense since 2017’s game still looks absolutely fantastic in terms of graphics and design.
“Wtf. Utterly pointless. Where killzone? Infamous? Bloodborne?! Sony literally have no idea what their fans want.” wrote one frustrated user.

But… why? Like, the TLOU1 remake was already close to pointless, but HZD came out like 5 years ago, it still looks incredible and it’s playable on PS5. Makes no sense.

I don't remember being less excited about a sony game in a while LOL.
I really, really liked HZD but damn it definitely doesn't need a remake.

Okay the last of us one kinda made sense. This is a pure freakin money grab considering the first one still looks fantastic & isn’t even that old wtf.

Really disappointing to hear. I hope games only 5-10 years old getting remakes doesn’t become the norm. So many more masterpieces that deserve remakes. And so many resources wasted on what could be a brand new game instead of yet another remake.

Why the heck do we need a zero dawn remaster? Wtf?
— Sooxzay (@sooxzay) October 2, 2022
Man all these remakes and remasters ffs. It has become the norm.

Horizon really doesn't need it, give us Killzone remakes.
