It appears that the season of third-person action thrillers has arrived, with The Callisto Protocol, Dead Space, Resident Evil 4 Remake, and now Fort Solis. Some of the games mentioned above are also horror, but they are all third-person thrillers.

The developers of this upcoming game recently launched a new trailer, which showed the visuals of this game aside from revealing some story bits. And it appears this game already has a lot in common with blockbusters like The Last of Us and Red Dead Redemption 2!

The trailer for Fort Solis opens up with a distress signal coming from Mars. A character who seems to be the protagonist steps out and follows the signal. His intentions are to help anyone who might be in peril, but something goes wrong, and he finds himself trapped on that planet.

Fans are never shown the source of that danger, but it is made clear that this game does indeed have something creepy going on.

What would excite the fans most is the fact that the character whom we see is voiced by none other than Troy Baker himself. Yes, Joel from The Last of Us plays the protagonist of this upcoming “sci-fi thriller experience”, as the developers put it.

And he is not alone; it has been confirmed that Red Dead Redemption 2 star Roger Clarke, who played the protagonist Arthur Morgan, also has a crucial role to play in this game along with British actress Julia Brown. It appears this game is full of a triple-A voice cast, and the developers are not leaving any stone unturned to classify this game as a big-budget title.
