UFC president Dana White has come under heavy criticism recently after the news of Khamzat and Nate going head-to-head became official. However, just days after the announcement, some people are referring this fight to the storyline of Tekken movie. The latter was based on the iconic video game franchise.
For those who missed to keep a track, Khamzat and Nate Diaz are going to have a UFC 279 fight in September. It’s going to be Nate’s last one under his ongoing contract.

Tekken reference emerges after Dana White reveals UFC 279 fight between Khamzat and Nate
In case anyone is not aware of the movie from 2009, it showed the protagonist of Jin (from the video game series Tekken.) In one of the scenes from the film, his character is pitted against a formidable and ruthless assassin, Bryan Fury. Simply put, the latter was very much capable of outperforming Jin quite easily.
The fight sees Bryan almost killing Jin with his lethal moves, but just before the round’s end, Jin regains his spirit and performs a deadly stunt to finish off Fury. It was quite a comeback for the character in the movie’s storyline.
Now the upcoming UFC 279 fight between Khamzat and Nate Diaz is seen by a few of the fans as a reference to the aforementioned scene from Tekken. Many fans think the battle is mismatched as Khamzat might simply beat Diaz and that, too, in a ruthless manner.

On the other hand, a tweet on social media mentioned the odds of Nate Diaz making an iconic mid-fight return. That he can pull off a “comeback finish after a four round beating”.
It's like Khamzat is a contracted assassin targeted to take Nate Diaz out in this fight.

Dana White, the UFC president is currently the target of the fans who think he made Nate agree to a fight against Khamzat. Some think that Diaz should have got a tougher opponent to lock horns with, rather than facing a rising star.

But the way Khamzat thrashed names like Rhys McKee and John Phillips, some believe he might beat Diaz in a cruel way. As reported by Marca, former UFC commentator Dan Hardy, was quoted saying:
“It doesn’t feel like a fair fight. It feels like a very, very cruel thing to do to someone that is a legitimate legend. Because they’ve spoken out against the organisation, they’re going to get executed live on TV.” Here are some of the reactions from the internet to this situation:
This is the closest Dana White can get to ordering a mob hit on Diaz.
