Hershel Beahm IV, better known as Dr Disrespect, is a famous YouTube streamer who is known for streaming FPS multiplayer games. He is an avid fan of the Call of Duty series, but he has a love-hate relationship with it. The latest Warzone 2.0 failed to meet his expectation. He even believes the gaming industry has never been “worse than it is right now.”
The 40-year-old streamer has been in this field for a long time. Many might not know, but he was a community manager and designer for Sledgehammer Games in 2011 and has worked on titles like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. He has seen video games change over time and doesn’t appreciate those new changes. In a recent stream, he even claimed that the Warzone 2.0 Seaason 2 targets a younger audience.

Dr Disrespect never shies away from sharing his honest review about anything on stream, and this is what actually makes him popular among fans. He has shared many times that he liked the older Call of Duty titles, but that’s not the case with the new ones. However, he recently tweeted how he thinks the video game industry as a whole has downgraded a lot and can’t find any good video games.
Beahm wrote in his tweet, “In my 7 years of streaming, I don’t think the industry has been worse than it is right now. It’s just so uninspiring. Where are the good online games at?“
His frustration with so many disappointments led the 40-year-old to take matters into his own hands. He joined hands with veterans who worked on Call of Duty and Halo games to form his own game development company named Midnight Society. Further, the ‘Two Time’ is working on a AAA multiplayer first-person shooter called Deadrop.
How did Twitter react to Doc’s statement?
Dr Disrespect’s tweet on the degrading game industry received a lot of reaction from fans and fellow streamers. His friends like TimTheTatman and CouRageJD suggested he play versus in PGA 2K or Portal 2. Meanwhile, one pointed out how developers these days pay more attention to microtransactions in the game. Some also told Doc that classic titles were still there for him to enjoy.

I guess game developers finally ran out of ways to rehash the same tired plotlines and recycle the same bland gameplay mechanics.

Gaming is in a very weird place, which is why everyone has been so hyped for Hogwarts Legacy.
Multiplayer online games need a revamp, I am optimistic some good titles will launch soon.

Developers are too busy spoon feeding 5th graders micro-transactions to make a good game.

It’s the worst right now… Gamers today just settled and given up it seems… accepting one bad game after another… unfinished releases full of bugs or games you play once and never again because the replay ability just isn’t there…. Flashback to the days of Sega genesis there… https://t.co/F1zkIbxNfw
