The next installment in the God of War franchise, God of War Ragnarok, has been one of the most awaited games of recent times. Fans were expecting an announcement about the franchise since the start of the year, and Sony’s PlayStation Showcase was the event that finally saw an update regarding the game.
As excited as people might seem about this in general, there are several resentments and concerns rising when it comes to the animation of the game.
Twitter user Gandalf Gaming has pointed out the uncanny similarities between God of War 2018 and the clips of Ragnarok.

The Twitter user from the above tweet shows visible resentment over the animations of GOW Ragnarok. The animations seem like an exact copy of the previous title, and the animations haven’t been updated at all. When you think about this, this may come off as a significant drawback since next-gen games promise better quality and delivery of performance than current-gen consoles.

However, it is likely that the game is still in its developmental stages and these animations may change over time. And PlayStation has also, on the official blog site, teased several narrative elements of the storyline, gameplay features, and new additions into the sequel.
While the disappointment fans showed on Twitter is understandable, it is highly unlikely that Santa Monica will let gamers down with the next installment in one of the most popular franchises ever created.
