Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, is undoubtedly the biggest and most well-known YouTuber in the world. Jimmy has managed to build his entire career making videos around giving away money to people and hosting absurd challenges. As he grew more and more in size, Jimmy started channeling his resources into philanthropic ventures.

Currently, Jimmy is one of the most influential philanthropists in the world. He has a multitude of charitable movements under his banner. He even documents some of his efforts to make videos on his YouTube channel. But every time he posts, a storm of criticism and backlash pours on the internet, criticizing his efforts.

But while there are large, loud groups of people who spread hate, there are also powerful friends that stand beside the philanthropist. Every time these groups try to put Jimmy down, he comes back stronger, gaining more and more support. Recently, billionaire Elon Musk came forward in support. And following his example, many followed, including OTK member Tectone.

All this storm was wrought after MrBeast posted his latest video, in which he helped 1000 deaf people gain their hearing. It was very much akin to his previous video, where he gave 1,000 people their eyesight back. The same backlash followed in that video too.

Looking at the backlash, Twitter owner Elon Musk said, “People definitely shouldn’t be attacked for doing good. Is it really just a question of money to restore hearing? I’m always looking for ways to donate money that are actually good. Perhaps this is one. It is very hard to donate money if you about it doing actual good, not merely the appearance of it.”
