In another instance of a bizarre donation, a celebrity worth millions received a custom-built PC worth $8,000! According to the Twitch streamer Xposed, it isn’t about the money. However, his explanation couldn’t satisfy fans. It is, indeed, strange to gift the successful and popular rapper Drake an over-priced PC. According to fans, Xposed could have donated to the needy instead.
With that being said, Xposed is quite humanitarian. He frequently hosts giveaways for his fans, donating huge amounts of money to the community. As expected, he also has a decent following on Twitch, of 508K to be exact. Most of his Twitch streams are about casinos, but he is also known to indulge in Call of Duty games.

As it happens, Xposed had shaken hands with Stake, an online gambling platform, back in December 2021. In fact, Drake, too, endorses Stake by indulging in the platform’s services on stream. Following the same, the two had collaborated many times on Twitch, showing off their gambling skills.
Is Xposed’s decision to gift an overpriced PC to Drake justifiable?
Ever since Jake Lucky, a popular eSports insider, made the revelation on Twitter, fans cannot stop questioning Xposed’s thought process on gifting a well-to-do celebrity.

Being a celebrity with a huge worth, Drake could have easily bought the PC himself. Why would someone gift Drake a PC worth that much? In addition, several fans pointed out that the said PC is extremely overpriced at $8,000.
I don't think Drake needed it considering he's doing $1 million rolls, but still cool to see

My only complaint with this build is its priced at $8k and its not even custom water cooled.
Its like $4-6k in parts and can be built in a couple of hrs.

I built the exact same pc, cost me 4000 pic.twitter.com/vPOTlvSCW0

Following the backlash, Xposed revealed their point of view on Twitter. According to Xposed, Drake had asked him to set up a PC for him before, but Xposed had gotten him a pre-built one from Best Buy due to time constraints. Now, when he was out in the market looking to build a PC of his own, he ordered one for Drake too.
It isn’t about the money or Drake already having money, see a lot of hate. I was in the market for a PC so I decided to get Drake a custom PC too with it because when I got asked to setup his stream the first time I got him a prebuilt from Best Buy because It was short notice. https://t.co/XyDzrUlIQO

On the other hand, BrParadox also gave out an explanation and revealed that the build’s actual cost is nearer to $6,000. However, the taxes and shipping aggravated the cost. In addition, BrParadox gave out the build specs too.
Although it was just a gift from one friend to another, fans aren’t able to justify the cost of the system. However, BrParadox mentioned that prices on many parts fell since Xposed ordered the PC builds and hence, the difference.
With the Subtotal being $6,445 and Xposed being from Canada, there’s 12% of Sales Tax for Ontario, as well as $250 of Insured Shipping that wasn’t used since I drove it up. pic.twitter.com/qnsgBjObMD

Here are some notable fan reactions:
So you get scammed by spending 8k on a $3k MAX pc lmfao

Wow, what a kind gesture. Why not gift him 50K, and set up a trust fund. Love seeing the rich get everything for free. Pat yourself on the back.

Dont build pcs if you don’t know what your doing, this homie doesn’t even know that heat rises, has intake on top and bottom and air is going out the front and back…

On the other hand, some fans supported Xposed!
Honestly don’t get how anyone is being negative about this. First of Drake bringing u on stream is a huge thing for your career so he’s helped you in a way too. Also @Xposed gives back to his community more than almost any other streamer in slots category…

Sad that people hate on something like this. Like you said it's not about the money. Just a genuine gesture. It is a sick looking PC though 🤙

This is just one awesome people helping another to get a PC, it's not about the money indeed. GG Cody!
I'm in the process in trying to get a PC. Price for GPUs are back to normal. I'm just too lazy to go get one at the store lol.— Strigampire (@strigampire) July 13, 2022
