Twitch streamer Kai Cenat is currently under fire for inadvertently causing a riot in the heart of New York City. On August 4, Cenat invited his fans for a giveaway including gaming PCs and PlayStation 5. The giveaway, however, did not go the way he planned it to go.

Almost 2,000 people instantly gathered at the location to meet the Twitch streamer. Things quickly descended to chaos as a massive riot broke out leading to Kai Cenat’s arrest. However, a past clip of Kai Cenat has revealed he knew about the risk of his giveaway and still intended to do it. This has further sparked a controversy about his responsibility in this incident.

In a Reddit post going viral, a past clip of Kai Cenat has intrigued many fans. In the clip, Kai Cenat can be seen surveying Union Square Park through Google Maps. Cenat had invited his fans to Union Square Park at 4 PM for the giveaway. While surveying, he assumed, “500 people could fit right there.” However, his Twitch chat quickly corrected him and told over more people can fit there.

When Cenat heard about this new information, his fans also pointed at the NYPD coming to the giveaway after seeing more than 500 people. To this Cenat responded, “Oh well, F**k it bruh! Chat we going all out. I’m telling you bro this is going to be a f**king movie.” This statement from Cenat has brought criticism, with some pointing at the negligence of security shown by the streamer.

Furthermore, the Twitch streamer also knew that the place is a crowded spot due to retail stores being present there. While critics are pointing towards his negligence, Cenat has already been charged by the NYPD with multiple counts of inciting a riot.

Since then, Kai Cenat has come out of jail. While Cenat had some knowledge about the risks of organizing the giveaway, the massive debacle he found himself in ought to be a lesson for the future.
