Imane Anys is better known as Pokimane to millions. She stands as one of the most popular and celebrated Twitch streamers across the globe. From Just Chatting streams to gaming streams, she exposes her viewership to variety. However, she once got scammed out of $24,000 by an ex-YouTube Manager in 2019.

Pokimane speaks about the time how her old employee gave her false promises

The 26-year-old streamer is a fan-favorite personality who started streaming in 2013. Through numerous streams, she became one of the most renowned faces in the community. And at the time of writing, she entertains a following of 9,244,593 on Twitch, as per StreamsCharts. But there was a time when she was delivered false promises by her ex-YouTube manager.

As reported by the organization Game Rant, her ex-YouTube manager had sent her full-fledged reports of the work, when nothing was actually done on her YouTube channel. Moreover, her old employee had told her that they were working on a feature on things “like Hote Ones-inspired show.” But no efforts were made for it.

As the streamer is known for her honesty and transparency with her community. She said that she was paying $8,000 each month for a total of three months, which adds up to the scammed amount. Nevertheless, she absorbed the unfortunate event with a learning spirit.

Pokimane admitted that she doesn’t regret the scam as it will give her an understanding of noticing the scams in the future. And will be more careful about including new members in her team. Thus, the Twitch queen displayed the strength to accept a mishappening, and turned it into a lesson for the future.

A few months back, the prominent Twitch star Pokimane stunned the community by announcing that she will be taking a break from streaming. Nonetheless, she came back to lift the spirits of the community, and also stood on the fact that she remained honest and transparent with her fan base. Thus, in a YouTube video, she unveiled the future for herself in streaming.

She told the fans that they will be able to see her on all platforms, especially Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. Moreover, she said that she did want to try and do something new and stated that she will be covering genres like IRL streaming, vlogs, fashion, traveling, and many more.

Pokimane exclaimed her joy by saying, “It’s like closing a chapter. But instead it’s really just opening more doors, stepping into a new phase and chapter of my life which will still not leave anything behind, like still incorporate gaming and streaming and all of these things but still allows me to do much more, I hope.” Thus, the community can expect the Twitch queen to enlarge her creatives to entertain the community.
