While the reputation of the new platform may not be very positive, the opportunities that it presents are something that no one had seen before. Among them, one of the most attractive aspects is the revenue split between the platform and the creator. Kick offers a 95%-5% split, which was thought to be impossible.

“Kick offers the highest revenue share (95-5 split) compared to YouTube (70-30) and Twitch (50-50),” said Reed Duchscher. According to the manager of MrBeast, the split that Kick offers is way higher than any other platforms, making it one of the best choices for small-time creators and streamers to start their careers.

Reed also believes that Kick is the best platform for small streamers starting their careers. “Twitch offers little to no features to highlight streamers, if you’re not at the top of page with 1K+ viewers, you’ll be buried down at the bottom. Even though Kick doesn’t offer an alternative, I have found that you’re much more likely to appear higher up on the page even with far less views,” sharing that the non-saturation of the platform may help small streamers get noticed.

All the points that Reed shared indicate Twitch’s lack of awareness for what creators want.” Reed Duchscher believes if everything goes according to plan, Kick may very soon become a formidable foe for Twitch. As Reed says, Kick understands its creators while Twitch has struggled with in the last few years.”
