Twitch is currently doing a lot to stop all the hate raids and botting against marginalized content creators. It has pledged to take some strict action on harassment issues. In a long Twitter thread, Twitch replied to a harassment complaint over hate raids and highlighted all the necessary detailed steps to prevent it at all costs. The team of Twitch said that it has already rolled out an update to fix such issues as soon as possible. More updates are also in the work and will be ready in near future.
Later this year, the team is also planning to release some improvements on channel level ban evasion detection. According to the Tweet thread, Twitch’s primary focus is to address all the harassment and hate speech issues. This tweet was in response to the very current popular hashtags TwitchDoBetter and the enormous wave of botting. Over the past few days, the cases of harassment against marginalized streamers were increasing day by day.
”We have seen a lot of conversation about botting, hate raids, and other forms of harassment targeting marginalized creators. You are asking us to do better and we know need to do more to address these issues. That included an open and ongoing dialogue about creator safety.”
