The first day of July will mark the Twitch Queen’s entry into a boxing arena. Amouranth would be facing Mayichi in her debut, and the internet has been set ablaze since this bout was announced. In an exclusive interview with EssentiallySports, Amouranth shared her views about her debut in a foreign land.

Amouranth’s boxing debut: ‘The first American in the Spaniard ring’

The concept of two popular celebrities fighting it out has become quite the trend in recent times. And it seems like the queen of Twitch herself has giddied up to get into the fiery ring. When asked about what she was feeling gearing up for the tournament, Amouranth had some interesting statements to say.

“Spanish streamer Ibai invited me, and I was like whoa boxing in Spain! It’s crazy! Ehh. Why not? It sounded fun,” was the first thing that came to Amo’s mind when she got invited to the event. For reference, Ibai is a very popular Spanish streamer who has engraved his name into the Twitch charts. He has created history by having the most concurrent viewers, and guess what! this happened during his boxing event, La Velada del Año.

Amo states that she did not have time to prepare for the debut. “I am super excited! I don’t have long to train, none of us did so yeah. We have four months to become a fighter,” was her response, indicating the lack of time that she got to prep for the bout. With streaming and other activities, Amouranth surely has a lot on her plate at the moment.

Though she had not been exposed to boxing, the 29-year-old thinks that she has some tricks up her sleeve to emerge victorious. And for this, Amo is bringing out some of her past experiences to fill her quiver. “I have never fought before but I am very athletic. I have a home gym. I have a great cardio, especially from playing Just Dance and riding horses for years,” stated Amo who is excited to experience what boxing has to offer.

Amouranth wants to turn the opposing ground into her forte

Amouranth, with her debut at the Spanish event, marks the entry of their first American contestant. She would not be having the home-ground advantage, but the sensational streamer thinks she has what it takes to turn the crowd in her favor.

“I am starting to persuade the Spanish people also to my side, even though they are not happy about it, but you know,” stated Amo as she burst into laughter. The fans were able to see a lot of boxing training in her recent streams, as she was prepping for her debut.

From the looks of it, Amo is fueled up for her bout against Mayichi on July 1 at the Civitas Metropolitan Stadium.
