Mojang has gone popular and mainstream enough with Minecraft to start experimenting with this IP. Previously, when Minecraft Dungeons launched across all the consoles, it proved to be a very fancy take on Blizzard’s Diablo series.
And now this series is moving to action strategy with legends. And as usual, fans are very excited about it!
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum (PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, PC)
This game is set in Tolkien’s fantasy world but shows it to players from a very different perspective, that of Gollum. Players would travel day and night through this mysterious land of Middle Earth to find their precious.
As they travel, they will be able to witness a bunch of world-changing events that they are already aware of from a very different perspective.
Pikmin 4 (Nintendo Switch – 21 July 2023)
Another one of Nintendo’s long-running strategy series enters a new generation with Pikmin 4. The game is, as usual, a real-time strategy title with a bunch of new gameplay mechanics added to keep things fresh.
Players would be able to collect new kinds of Pikmins and befriend new kinds of companions as they traveled to an uncharted planet.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns (Switch Release)
Firaxis combined its winning strategy and management game formula with the superhero genre.
Here, players manage a bunch of Marvel superheroes as they fight a new powerful force. Only this game is a tactical RPG and not as simple as a typical beat ’em up.
The game launched on current-gen consoles and PC a while ago and has yet to launch for the Nintendo Switch, but it is recommended fans keep an eye out for it.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (Nintendo Switch – 12 May 2023)
Any list of Nintendo Switch games that should not be missed is incomplete without Tears of the Kingdom. The game is already too famous to ignore, breaking records left and right. Fans are just sweeping its special editions off the stores. They also keep coming up with new speculations about its story on a daily basis.
