The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is currently scheduled to be released by May 12, 2023. Tears of the Kingdom retains the open-world elements of Breath of the wild, its predecessor, but allows more explorative elements in the skies.
On March 28, 2023, Eiji Aonuma announced the game has completed development. Fans are already hyped for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. He also presented the gameplay and graphics of the game on the Nintendo Switch. New elements, including floating islands above Hyrule, were shown with players able to soar between them.
This presentation also showcased some new abilities in the new Zelda title. Fuse ability, in which the player may combine multiple materials to form new weapons, the Ascend ability, which allows the player to travel through ceilings, the Ultrahand ability, which sticks objects together and the Recall ability, which can reverse time for an object. While they showcased these things in the presentation, some things were hidden as well.

New Dragons and a Flying System
Naydra, or a new dragon entirely, was seen flying in the gameplay presentation. If it was Naydra, it was far away from Mount Lanayru. This means there could be a new travel system in play. Speculations arise that dragons are around all the time and have substantial flight paths. Players have to jump from flying islands onto dragons in order to get to them.
New Materials
Amber has a new design, having a sharp look instead of being originally rounded. Korok Frond is a new material remarkably distinct from Korok Leaves. Korok Frond can be fused with weapons to enhance them. Players can also fuse meat to an arrow, presumably for luring or baiting animals. A new material called the Stambulb was also shown. Presumably, this item may help to increase stamina.
Cave Icons on Minimap
It was revealed in the presentation that there are loads of cave icons on the Minimap. This suggests distinct little caves players can go in and they have a mini-shrine inside them or a chest to explore and collect items. A shrine-like marker also appears on the Minimap, which differentiates it from the standard shrine marker.
Zonai Charge
Gameplay revealed Zonai charge is returning to the Zelda title. Indistinct teal icon, just like a blob color linked to Zonai was seen on the map. But there are loads of Zonai stuff so still not clear whether it is related to charge or not.
Battery Icons
We also see a battery icon containing recharge, possibly on the Ultrahand ability. Various items have a charge in them. It could be used to charge them too.
Two Partitions of the World
When Link was flying from sky islands, they showed for a moment that the map becomes unpopulated. Essentially, Sheikah Towers were used as a vantage point in Breath of the Wild. This was a clear indication that for the upper level, there are Sky Islands, but not for the ground level, showing they are distinct land masses. Presumably, there will be two layers of the map menu; one for the sky and one for the ground.
Friendly Constructs
When we cross the river, a construct is visible called the Ranger Construct. Having a name rather than a health bar and not attacking Link suggests it is a friendly construct. Another one was spotted while showing the Ascend ability. Some constructs are aggressive in this Zelda tile as well. While some, like the Korok with a backpack, are not.
Minimap
Minimap shows coordinates now. This includes longitude, latitude, and altitude. This will be a useful thing to remember locations in this vast open-world game.
Pot Icons on Map

Pot icons on the Minimap were seen that can be presumably a shop. It is also possible the user can put it down like markers in Breath of the Wild. A blue spherical crystal ball cross-referenced to the pot icon so more favorably it can be some sort of shop.
Missing Chica Slate
Sheikah Slate is not visible with Link in the gameplay presentation. The release of the game will clarify whether Link has it or Zelda.
