1. 6-Star Wanted Level: Fans want the absurdity of GTA’s 6-star wanted level back. Although the game nerfed the star ratings, there seems to be no better opportunity to get 6 stars back than in GTA 6. Many players love the over-the-top chaos of 6 stars. The game seemed more fun with Tanks and attack helicopters chasing players when things get real.

2. Interactive Interiors: In GTA 6, they hope to see a return of interactive interiors, where players can enter a variety of buildings right from the start. GTA 5 left players craving more accessible interiors, especially for restaurants and street vendors like in GTA SA. GTA 5 had a very copy-paste style when it came to the interiors of most buildings and in GTA 6, fans hope that will change.

3. Dual Wielding: Bringing back dual wielding like in GTA San Andreas would bring excitement and add more strategy to combat. It’s a simple yet thrilling feature from older GTA games that needs a comeback.

4. Character Customization: In GTA 6, fans hope for character-building like in San Andreas. Players had not only the option for a hairstyle, clothing, or accessories, but they could control how skinny, bulky, or fit they wanted their character to be. Bringing back such mechanics adds to the realism of the game while being a fun way of customizing your character.

5. Mini Games: While GTA 5 had its fair share of mini-games, fans long for the return of odd jobs players could do in previous games. Things like being an ambulance driver, fireman, or even an ironic cop who is trying to stop a criminal.

6. Switch Scenes: From the recent leaks, we know that GTA 6 will have multiple characters. With the character wheel being a huge focus of what made GTA 5 unique, Fans hope for improvements in how characters switch scenes.

7. Gang Warfare:  The turf war system from San Andreas, is one of the most exciting mechanics added to the game. Taking over areas of the city gives players respect and generates money that can be collected by players.

8. Empire Building: Just like the turf war in San Andreas, Vice City Stories introduced the empire-building mechanic. Players could build empires that generated money and respect by acquiring and managing businesses and properties. These features came with some story attached to them and really gave depth to the world of the games.

9. Drug Dealing: GTA Chinatown Wars had different unique rewards after missions. Players would not only get paid in money but sometimes in drugs. Players would have to then do a mini mission to sell the drugs in order to get money. This concept if emulated properly, this could be a fresh income source in GTA 6.
