Though Halo’s multiplayer launch has been a success, for the most part, one thing that plagues Halo Infinite is its extremely inconvenient progression in terms of the battle pass. The game’s progression is riddled with elements of monetization. And players are made to grind a lot and are bound by hardcore time-limited challenges.

It looks like the developers have taken note of this issue and aim to improve it.

Fix in Halo Infinite’s progression

These strategies are quite underhanded and lie on the border of ethics. These problems are what prevent this highly fun game from reaching its potential of being an amazing title. The player’s gameplay experience takes a turn for the worst due to this. However, it seems like there is a glimmer of hope.

Plans of a series of patches and fixes seem to be on the horizon. All this reassuring news comes from 343 Industries’ Jerry Hook. Jerry Hook is the developer’s Head of Design. It appears after the recent fixes the battle pass has received, more fixes for progression are to follow.

Hook recently came back from his vacation where he made the most out of his time on strategy and management titles. He reiterated that he and the team are well aware of this issue and won’t ignore it. The Head of Design said that after a short break for the holiday season, the team will be working on the game’s multiplayer release.

Hook expressed his empathy by saying that he resonates with and feels everyone’s pain with regard to progression. However, apart from this reassurance, “this will be top of my list” not a lot of details have been revealed about what fixes are being prepared.

The current progression desperately needs an overhaul. And hopefully, it’ll be fixed soon.
