Microsoft shocked the world earlier this year with a gigantic acquisition announcement of Activision Blizzard. Well, it’s been quite a few months now since the company first shared the massive news publicly. As of now, it looks like everything is going smoothly at the moment as far as the deal itself is concerned.
Brad Smith, who’s Microsoft’s President and Vice-chairman, recently revealed that things are running at an impressive pace when it comes to the company’s acquisition of the Call of Duty publisher.

As is already known, January turned out to be a big month to kick start 2022 as gaming fans got to witness an unexpected news regarding Microsoft. Its $68.7 billion worth of acquisition of the Call of Duty publisher is one of the biggest in history.
Not to mention that apart from CoD, it will grant Microsoft total control on other hit IPs of Activision as well. Properties like Diablo, Warcraft, Overwatch, and Candy Crush will come under the supervision of Xbox Game Studios’ boss Phil Spencer.

While there were reports, few weeks back, mentioning some hurdles for the deal to move ahead. But now it seems like everything is going well.
As reported by Wccftech, Microsoft’s President and Vice Chairman, Brad Smith recently revealed that the acquisition deal is moving at a good pace forward. In a media interaction, he stated that things are running forward smoothly.
“It’s moving fast, at least fast enough for an acquisition of this size. We have received requests for information on this subject here in Brussels, but also in London and Washington. We answer questions, we give briefings and we provide the information requested.”

He also added that they want everything to finish sooner “but we will respect the process.”
Microsoft’s upcoming titles
In another news, Microsoft is also preparing to come up with new titles in the coming months. Although the most awaited exclusive in Starfield is now delayed, there are still many things to watch out for in 2022. Especially with the Xbox-Bethesda Games Showcase, it seems like fans will get to see lots of fresh content from various new IPs.
