This is counted among the darkest Zelda games ever made. Its time loop mechanic added much depth to its basic gameplay loop. Moreover, its dungeons can be called the most experimental and creative of them all.
Some of these dungeons require players to use all the masks at their disposal. And its final dungeon takes the cake in being the most complex of them all.
Link’s Awakening
Link’s Awakening, in both of its forms, is an excellent game. On Gameboy and Nintendo Switch, the basic gameplay of this game remains unchanged. And yes, this is another one of those unique Zelda games, a game that stands out the most.

Twilight Princess introduced fans to the ever-popular Wolf Link. An introduction to such mechanics would have seemed to some as if Nintendo was trying too hard to cater to that crowd craving mature, dark, and edgy stuff.
But the dungeons really made everything right with their brilliance. Most of all, these dungeons were just so natural to explore that even calling them dungeons feels silly.

Link Between Worlds
Link Between Worlds is an excellent Zelda game that launched for the Nintendo 3DS console. Now this game is just beautiful, it takes advantage of 3D in a brilliant way and never enforces it.
But its dungeons, when played in 3D, really put things in perspective. It really felt like the developers designed them with 3D in mind.
