Long ago, Nintendo decided to put its own spin on the then popular toys to life genre of games. They never made a game with that idea, but they introduced a bunch of toys and action figures equipped with NFC chips. This action figure, when used with the correct game like The Legend of Zelda, Smash Bros., or Skyrim, etc. can unlock several bonuses.

Now toys to life are a thing of bygone days, but Nintendo has managed to push its toys, called Amiibo, to the heights of popularity. The reason for this is that anyone can use them in any supported game.

Now, keeping up with the tradition of releasing new Amiibo with every big game, Nintendo has announced a new Amiibo for Tears of the Kingdom too. So let’s discuss some characters we would love to own as Amiibo!

Vaati

One of Link’s most formidable foes after Ganon, especially in the Minnish cap. Vaati is both more cunning and deceiving than Link’s typical arch-nemesis. He has appeared in numerous The Legend of Zelda games, and he even has a sizeable fan base, yet Nintendo refuses to give him his own Amiibo.

Here’s hoping he would appear someday as an action figure to stand on our shelves.

Midna true form

Midna is Link’s trusty companion in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, helping him through thick and thin. Also, let us not forget that she is actually the Twilight Princess in that game. Eventually, after riding Wolf Link for a better part of that game, she turns back into her true form.

To some, she is just like any other companion Link has ever had, for others, she is much more detailed and fleshed out than the likes of Navi. Soon Twilight Princess would launch for Nintendo Switch if rumors are to be believed and maybe Nintendo would bring fans a Midna Amiibo to celebrate that.

Skull Kid

This guy’s absence of an Amiibo is indeed surprising. He deserved one, that’s for sure. His complex character makes him one of the most memorable characters in the series. And some Majora’s Mask fans would love to own him as an amiibo.

The only hope for that is, in case Nintendo decides to ever remake that game and then release that Amiibo.

Impa Ocarina of Time

This was a great game, probably the greatest game ever made if the Metacritic score is something to go by. It had a great story, great gameplay mechanics and its music was just mind-blowing. So the puzzle to be solved here is, why are fans still waiting for an Amiibo of Impa from that game?

It would be a great treat for fans who are still nostalgic for that classic adventure.

Epona

Characters of The Legend of Zelda series change from game to game. They come and they go. Some irritate Link to death, others just help him in silence, but they change, if not their names, their faces, and looks do. But one companion that never changes, is Epona.

Yes, Link’s trusty steed is found in most 3D Zelda games and gives longtime fans a certain sense of pride whenever they ride this horse. It’s a shame that this character never got its own amiibo.
