The name of the special one is actually Princess Peach.
Some Zelda and Splatoon facts

The GameCube and Wii versions of Twilight Princess are flipped visually because Nintendo wanted Link to be right-handed on the Wii. version. This remastering in Nintendo games is not a new case.
Nintendo’s online multiplayer shooter Splatoon gets its name from combining the word splat with cartoon. This references the art style of the game where players spray paint on each other.
Nintendo Console’s naming convection
One of Nintendo’s first handhelds known as Game & Watch gets its name from the fact that those devices included both a game and a watch. And surprisingly so, Nintendo’s latest console, the Nintendo Switch gets its name from the fact that the console can switch between being a handheld and a Home console device.
Metroid’s main character is a girl
Nintendo named the main character of its two-dimensional shooting franchise, Metroid, Samus Aaron. The Super Smash Brothers Brawl for the Nintendo Wii showed fans Samus is a girl by using Samus’s Final Smash.
