The upcoming months are all set to present the gaming community with amazing titles. From well-established franchises such as Street Fighter and Diablo to brand-new titles that have successfully caught the eyes of the fans, many new games are been scheduled to be dropped for Microsoft’s Xbox system in the coming months.

Although the release date hasn’t been finalized yet, industry leaders, Ubisoft and Bethesda have been pushing to release two of their biggest IPs, Assassin’s Creed and Starfield by the end of the year. Besides massive AAA games, a set of majestic Indie games will also be making Xbox Series X their new home this year. 

5. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Star Wars Jedi: Survivors is a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Offering a brand new chapter in the vast world of Star Wars, players can make their own adventures in this semi-open-world sci-fi RPG. As the name suggests, this game will be much more survival focussed, compared to its predecessor. According to the developers, Survivor will touch on some darker sides of the beloved universe.

4. Redfall

Release date: May 2, 2023

Developer/Publisher: Arkane Austin / Bethesda

Game Pass: Yes

Redfall is one of the most anticipated shooters of this year. Offering a DOOM-like spin on the co-op horror genre, players will have a vast selection of devastating weapons to brutally show the monsters who the real boss is. The game will feature an open world where the players may explore alongside friends or other players. 

3. Street Fighter 6

Release date: June 2, 2023

By far, the biggest release of the year, Capcom’s legendary fighter is back with a fresh layer of paint and a plethora of modern touches. Street Fighter 6 is expected to be a fighting game for the new generation, taking the genre to new heights. With brand new RPG-like single-player campaigns, VS Mode, and a variety of other ways to play the game, SF 6 may become a revolution for the classic franchise. 

2. Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Release date: TBC 2023

Ubisoft’s most popular and successful IP, Assassin’s Creed is back with its brand new installment, Mirage. Promised to be a tribute to the classic games, Mirage will feature a much smaller map and linear gameplay compared to the previous installments such as Odyssey and Valhalla. So far, the dates aren’t revealed yet, but the sources believe it may release by the end of 2023.

The long-awaited sequel to the indie sensation and likely the most hyped entry in the list, Hollow Knight: Silksong. Focusing on the hero of the first game, Hornet, Silksong promises to explore a brand new region, outside of Hollow Nest. It has been a while since the game was announced and there has been solid promise about the release date yet. But recent teases from the devs at Team Cherry suggest they could be pushing for a 2023 release.
