Tekken 8
It’s been over seven years since the release of Tekken 7. This game became an absolute fan favorite as one of the best fighting games. Now, it’s time for the next chapter in the Tekken series, Tekken 8, which was revealed for the first time at the State of Play.
The Tekken 8 developers presented real-time gameplay footage at the Sony showcase event, while other games mainly offer a cinematic trailer on the first reveal. Fans are eagerly looking forward to trying this upcoming fighting game.
Like A Dragon: Ishin
The famous Yakuza video game series has a lot going on this year. First, the series underwent a name change, which is not actually a name change. Yakuza games would be called “Like a Dragon,” which translates to the series’s Japanese name, “Ryu Ga Gotoku.”
The Yakuza series unveiled their next game in line, a spin-off called Like a Dragon: Ishin. The game would be set in the 1800s instead of the modern game setting like the other Yakuza games. This time it would be classic samurai-style combat, meaning katanas instead of assault rifles.
