Fortnite has taken the gaming world by storm. It’s a free-to-play game that’s available on PC and consoles, and it’s currently the most popular game in the world. While there are plenty of games out there, Fortnite stands out for its outstanding gameplay and excellent community-building tools.

One of these tools is the skins system—and not just because you can get them by completing missions or buying them with V-bucks! The way these cosmetic items work is pretty simple: Each character has their own unique look, but they also have special abilities that give them an edge on other players during battles. This means that each skin has different abilities depending on what kind of character it represents.
10. Ruby
Ruby is a skin for the scoped assault rifle, and it’s what people call a ‘trap’ or ‘bait’ skin because it can easily attract enemies. The Ruby skin features a girl with her long fluttering hair under her cap and sometimes wearing glasses. Her outfit consists of tight jeans, a crop top, and sneakers with laces on them all colored in red for the default character. Her dance emote is based on her dancing moves from the Fortnite dances with Marshmello video (known as Marshmello Mashup).
The Ruby skin is a legendary outfit in Fortnite Battle Royale. It can be purchased from the Item Shop for 1,200 V-Bucks and comes with a ‘Rare’ rarity level.
9. Midas
Midas is a Legendary Outfit for the Battle Royale mode of Fortnite. It was originally released during Season 2 as part of the Golden Ghost Set, where players could have obtained Midas after reaching Tier 100.
Midas is a reference to King Midas, who turned everything he touched into gold. One notable thing about Midas was the ability to turn any weapon he touched into the gold version of that item; this meant that players were able to turn anything except cars, saucers, the Kymera Ray Gun, and chrome weapons into gold.
8. Skull Trooper
The Skull Trooper skin is one of the most popular ones in all of Fortnite. The character wears a unique mask that features a skull, with sometimes glowing eyes. He also has a bandana wrapped around his face, which makes him look even more intimidating than usual.
The Skull Trooper is a common skin in Fortnite and was first released back in Season 1 as the Skull Squad Set. This skin is meant to represent a soldier that has died in battle, so it’s fitting that this particular version would be military based.
7. Flytrap
Flytrap is a plant-based skin that was released in the Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 4. When it’s available for purchase, fans can buy it for 2,000 V-Bucks, as it has an ‘Epic’ rarity. The Flytrap skin has green leaves and vines that wrap around your body, giving you a more plant-like look than most other skins do.
The Flytrap skin has a few different variants that can be unlocked by completing certain tasks. Notably, at the time of its debut, the skin saw a lot of complaints from fans because of its in-game price and other design flaws.
6. The Reaper (John Wick)
The popular movie series, John Wick, is one of the most well-known and beloved action movies in recent memory. The Reaper (John Wick) skin is one of Fortnite’s best skins as it pays homage to this great film series. With its dark color scheme and intricate detail on each part of the character’s body, this skin makes you feel like you are playing as an assassin.
The Reaper was available via the Battle Pass during Season 3 and could be unlocked at Tier 100. The skin features Keanu Reeves as the face of John Wick, which makes it even more Epic.

4. Drift
Drift is a skin that was released on 07/12/2018. He resembles a kitsune, which is roughly a ‘legendary fox’ in Japanese legends and stories, and he has been added as a Tier 100 skin for players to use in Fortnite: Battle Royale. Drift is a male character in most seasons and he has several iterations of himself.
He also wears blue denim jeans, black boots, and red gloves in some other designs. He has some cool animations and his voice lines are great too. Additionally, he has a special relationship with Brite Bomber.
3. Brite Bomber
Brite Bomber was one of the first OG female characters to be introduced in the game and is an explosives expert. She has a very colorful outfit that was used by Epic Games to market the character very well.
Brite Bomber is a Rare Outfit in Fortnite: Battle Royale that can be purchased in the Item Shop for 1,200 V-Bucks or as part of the Brite Bundle for 2,800 V-Bucks. Brite Bomber debuted in Season 2 as part of the Sunshine And Rainbows Set. Her preferred weapon is her boom/grenade and her Unicorn inspired pickaxe.
2. Omega
Omega is a legendary skin in Fortnite Battle Royale. It was released on May 1, 2018, and is part of the Omega set. The skin is especially catchy in its looks, as some fans even compare it with Genji from Overwatch when in his final stage.
Omega’s appearance has been described as futuristic and it features a black tech suit with orange (base-color) stripes. His eyes are also part of the stripes that glow from underneath, which makes him look even more intimidating than normal.
