Uncharted clocks record numbers in the box office
As you can see in the above tweet, Uncharted has put itself as the 5th highest-grossing video game movie adaptation of all time, garnering almost $337 million. Besides this, the movie is already at number 4 in the charts in the United States alone.
This is indeed good news given the fact that the profit is 3 times more than the budget of the movie, which was $120 million. The film which stands at the top of the table is WarCraft with a total gross profit of $438 million and Uncharted is trailing behind The Angry Birds Movie, Rampage, and Detective Pikachu.
In the United States, the film has made $125.9 million, which means 37.3% of its total gross comes from the domestic market itself. In that contrast, the highest-grossing film on this list, Warcraft, had made just $47.4 million in the United States.
