Xbox Digital Broadcast led the Tokyo Game Show 2023 and made some pretty exciting announcements. Xbox showcased games from publishers like Bethesda, Capcom, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and more. Among the big names in the industry, one indie game by Rabbit and Bear Studios took fans by surprise.
The upcoming title Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes trailer was showcased. This was the same trailer as the one showcased during the Nintendo Direct. However, it was surprising to see that they will not release the game on the same day for the Switch and the Xbox.

During the Tokyo Game Show 2023, the devs presented the trailer for the game and announced its release date for the Xbox to be April 24, 2024. However, this can come across as a little strange considering the game is releasing for the Nintendo Switch one day prior, on April 23, 2024.
In the trailer shown during the TGS 2023, fans got to see a cinematic representation of the gameplay. Some gameplay aspects revealed in the trailer were that players take on the role of a leader and fight with an army of more than 100 heroes.
They revealed three main characters for the game. Noah, Seign, and Marissa come together to form an alliance to achieve a shared goal. During the journey, players will have opportunities to meet a diverse range of Heroes.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a sequel to Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising which was released back in 2022. Although the game was supposed to be released back in October 2022, it was pushed back to 2023, and further delayed to 2024.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes was a fundraiser project that was crowdfunded on Kickstarter. The game made over 4.5 million dollars with crowdfunding. That made it the third highest funded video game after Shenmue III and Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.

The game features a home base system known as the headquarters. Players need to find allies to join forces with in order to unlock additional facilities within the headquarters. The Headquarters will include facilities like a place to cultivate crops, open shops, and more. While each main character comes with a background story and motivations, players will encounter hundreds of other heroes and decide to either be allies or enemies.

The upcoming title is something players are looking forward to playing considering the prequel was a success. Hopefully, there will be no more delays to the game and players can jump into the action early in the second quarter next year.
