Considering this is Bethesda’s first fully original series in two decades, Howard once again revealed the reasons that may end up making Starfield a game for generations to come.

Todd Howard is currently on a promotional campaign for his dream project, Starfield. Following the Xbox Showcase, he recently appeared in another session. During this, he explained all the crucial aspects regarding the eagerly-awaited title. He was interacting with the team of Kinda Funny Xcast where the hosts asked him tons of questions in relation to the much-anticipated Xbox exclusive.

The acclaimed director told them that Starfield will have an amazing experience for the players due to the engine they used. “We’re just so happy with the new engine.” Continuing further, he said that his team has been able to achieve lots of astounding features thanks to the enhanced engine. “We have some great volumetric fog and how that interacts with the lighting” is simply brilliant.

Todd Howard then also explained why Starfield is unique when compared to other open-world games in terms of the quest systems. “What really makes ours different is that all these quests are running. You can be at dozens of these at once,” he said while mentioning that players will witness “magic moments” due to this kind of system. Most importantly, he said that Starfield is “the best feeling game we’ve had” so far. This means players won’t have to worry about the refresh time as it will be extremely smooth in almost every department, something that gamers tend to value over other aspects.
