Howard mainly discussed their latest IP, Starfield, with the crew. He was asked by the panel about Starfield being as accepting of modding as their earlier titles. Starfield universe is enormous itself with multiple planets present for players to explore. To the question, Howard replied confidently, “I think Starfield is going to be kind of a modder’s paradise. It’s part of our DNA here. We’ve been doing it for over 20 years.” He stated Bethesda has formed a community of modders along its way who love the adaptability options provided. Furthermore, their single-person approach helped a lot to players for modding them.
However, he believed it is now Bethesda’s turn to not only enable this trend in their games but also to participate in it. Howard said they wanted “to make it easy for them to make this where they can make it not just a hobby but a career.” Furthermore, he was looking forward to what the community will create with their new title. And with the number of customization options available in-game, it surely will be a treat for modders.
Bethesda has given players complete control over their characters and gameplay. Players can opt for run-and-gun gameplay or stealth-based gameplay according to their choice. They can also opt for various character traits which can give their players advantages in space or while fighting. Furthermore, their skill tree is a combination of the best elements of their earlier titles.
