Villagers have always been an important part of the entire Animal Crossing series. Furthermore, many players liked to interact with them on a daily basis in past titles. Unfortunately, in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, most players have different opinions. They think villagers are boring in New Horizons because of the lack of in-game dialogues.
However, with the launch of the 2.0 update, developers added more dialogues to change users’ opinions. After the release of the November update, villagers can now also visit players’ houses.
Interestingly, a Reddit user found out a hidden detail that most of us didn’t know about involving special characters visiting our houses. Continue reading to find more about it.

Secret detail spotted in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Nintendo lets players invite over 10 characters to be their island residents in New Horizons. Regardless, because of the lack of in-game dialogues, most players ignore their villagers and kick them out of their island. Or at least this was the case for a while.
Now, some players look forward to seeing their villagers giving them a surprise visit. Because if you hide in another room while your villager visits you, they will think you aren’t home.
Tip: If a villager visits your home and you’re in another room. Just stay where you are and they’ll think you aren’t home and leave 😁 from AnimalCrossing
This feature has helped a lot in increasing villagers’ importance in New Horizons. Surprisingly, The_Rambling_Otter (Reddit User) spotted the aforementioned hidden detail while one of their villagers visited them.
Furthermore, they will also scream your name and ask you if you are there, and after no response, they will leave. After watching the Reddit user’s post, many users also shared similar experiences.

One comment said, “This is why I put a storage shed, a workbench, and an outdoor kitchen in my backyard. I basically never need to go into my house anymore, haha.” While one player tried to mock the villager by saying, “You are pretending to be a statue Andrew, but I am physically touching your shoulder and can tell it’s you.”
