Nintendo Switch would soon be a first-generation console in its series, and if almost every rumor out there was to be believed, then there would soon be a Nintendo Switch 2 in hands of Nintendo enthusiasts.

It is being said that this new and upcoming console would be launched by the end of 2023 or in 2024. And it has a number of things going for it, as an enhanced chip would allow it to run games in high resolution and even with Ray tracing enabled. Fans expect the current generation of Nintendo Switch Online to continue into the next generation. This is not even a new thing; PlayStation Plus and Xbox Gold have continued to be part of their respective consoles for at least three generations now.

There’s even talk of this happening; let’s hope it turns out to be true!

Backward Compatibility

With the huge collection of games people have for the Nintendo Switch in their homes, it makes sense for Nintendo to give them a console with backward compatibility.

This feature would let gamers play games from the Nintendo Switch on the new console. And maybe, just maybe, those games would run in better quality and give better performance too.

Let’s hope Nintendo keeps it hybrid; that was the reason people fell in love with the first console, for the freedom that it offered.

Fix that Joy-Con Drift

Joy-Cons are a fun pair of controllers; they are an instant co-op-friendly pair of controllers that are available in so many colors and designs. But they have a glaring issue, the drift. It’s so annoying that there was even a class action lawsuit filed against Nintendo due to how widespread this issue was.

So let’s hope Nintendo uses Hall Effect Sticks in their next Joy-Cons to fix this issue.

Cosmetic customization

The Nintendo Switch is still as fun as any console can be, but there’s a small issue with it: it’s dull. Its menu is not very interesting; it has only two themes, Light and Dark, and it does not even allow users to set wallpapers on its home screen.

These are definitely things that can be added; gamers have a wild personality, and they love it when their consoles match their personalities; some swappable plates, themes, etc. would do the trick.
