Nintendo Switch will soon be getting a new roguelike action platformer. The game has been developed by Magic Design Studios, the same studio that worked on an action platformer called Unruly Heroes. Moreover, the title is called Have a Nice Death and stars none other than the titular Death. Players play as Death in his quest to bring back his employees to their desks to end the chaos caused by them. The game just got a new overview trailer explaining the most important gameplay elements and enemies that players will face.

Have a Nice Death is a beautiful action platformer with roguelike elements. This game has a very basic story to go by, where Death, who was overwhelmed by the amount of paperwork he had to do, hired a staff to ease his work. However, when his workers start causing chaos themselves, it falls upon him to take care of everything and put his employees back in line.

This game, according to the recently launched trailer, would feature several levels termed “departments,” which vary in difficulty and bosses. While players explore these departments and defeat and teach their employees some manners, they also earn a bunch of new abilities. These abilities would be paired with 70 weapons to choose from.

The trailer also hints at “expanding the department,” which simply means the developers are planning some sort of new levels added to this game through DLCs.
And finally, players can unlock some stuff for their next playthrough too, as this is basically a roguelike; their deaths would reset the progress, but they could carry unlocked stuff with them.
It’s seemingly a very dark and fun-looking roguelike, along the lines of Hades and Dead Cells. Both of those games were massively successful, and it’s good to know that developers are still experimenting with ideas to create much more involved game worlds.

This game coming to Nintendo Switch seems to have hyped a bunch of roguelike games, And it appears this game is gearing up to be a great success when it launches on 22nd March 2023.
